I pride myself on my cooking, but I can’t top this. The plantain bun with the Dominican cheese along with a tender cut of steak and all the toppings. Top-tier. Definitely worth driving across town.

I want to start by saying "Diablo coño, que comida mas buena!" This food was amazing. We order a chimi (fries included), fritura combo of longaniza, carnita de cerdo, chicharron de cerdo, con tostones, and a Morir Soñado. The food was fantastic, good size portions, the meat of the chimi was exquisite. The dipping sauces, mayoketchup and garlic were outstanding. We waited about 30 mins after ordering, but it was so worth the wait. We found our Dominican food truck and will back for sure. Thank you!!!

Hasta La Tambora is one of my favorite food trucks in Tampa! We tried some fire Dominican food like the crispy frituras (fried meats) and perfect platanos. I especially liked their empanadas. passionfruit drinks, as well as their chimi burger. The Matatan Patacon is a massive sandwich in between large plantains. So much flavor!!!

About Us
Our Love story with "Hasta La Tambora" began by acknowledging that food is the centerpiece of everyone's story. Being Children of immigrants, what tied us all together were the stories our parents told us of how the food tasted, what their grandmothers and mothers would cook for them, and how it made them feel loved. We decided that we wanted to bring that to Tampa. Not only the Sazon but the feeling of being back home.

Nuestra historia de amor con "Hasta La Tambora" comenzó reconociendo que la comida es la pieza central de la historia de todos. Siendo hijos de inmigrantes, lo que nos unía a todos eran las historias que nuestros padres nos contaban sobre cómo sabía la comida, qué les cocinaban sus abuelas y madres y como los hacía sentir amados. Decidimos que queríamos traer eso a Tampa. No sólo el Sazón sino la sensación de estar de vuelta en casa.
